Willamette University Student Tickets

With our new Willamette Student Ticket program, you can see Oregon Symphony in Salem concerts as often as you want – you won’t even have to dip into your coffee budget. Subject to availability, a limited number of free tickets to our 2021/22 Season are available to registered full-time, degree-seeking Willamette University students.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Find the list of eligible concerts below:
    • Haydn & Strauss: Austrian Music Through the Ages - Friday, October 29, 2021
    • James Ehnes Plays Mozart with the Oregon Symphony – Friday, November 19, 2021
    • Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade – Friday, January 28, 2022
    • Beethoven & Brahms – Friday, February 18, 2022
    • Dvorak’s New World Symphony – Friday, April 29, 2022 
    • Wagner & Strauss: Stories Without Words – May 20, 2022
  2. Show your current student ID at the Box Office at Willamette University’s Smith Auditorium the night of the concert. The Box Office opens 90 minutes before the concert start time. Arrive early because free tickets are only available until 15 minutes before the concert starts.
  3. Enjoy the show!

Free Student Tickets are available on the night of the concert only. A valid full-time Willamette University student ID is required; students registered for the ICL are not eligible for complimentary tickets. One ticket per student ID. Some seating restrictions apply, and seat assignment is at the discretion of the Box Office. Subject to availability.

Non-Willamette University Student Tickets

Pay $10 for student tickets at the door!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Find the list of eligible concerts above.
  2. Show your current student ID at the Box Office at Willamette University’s Smith Auditorium the night of the concert. The Box Office opens 90 minutes before the concert start time. 
  3. Enjoy the show!

One ticket per student ID. Some seating restrictions apply.

 

Military Discount

The Oregon Symphony in Salem invites active military personnel and veterans to attend select concerts at a special discounted rate!

To take advantage of this program, bring your military ID or veteran’s ID card to the Smith Auditorium Box Office starting 90 minutes before the concert. Based on availability, we are able to offer up to four tickets to select concerts at only $20 per ticket. Once you've shown your ID, you can also use the military discount when you buy tickets by phone.

The military discount is typically available for the same concerts that are eligible for student discounts; check this page frequently for an updated list.

Salem for All – $5 Tickets

The Oregon Symphony in Salem is proud to make our concerts accessible to all Oregonians through the Salem for All program. Oregon Trail (SNAP) card holders can buy tickets to eligible concerts for just $5.

To buy Salem for All tickets, call or visit our Ticket Office in Portland starting the Monday before the concert you’d like to attend. You’ll need to show your Oregon Trail Card and your photo ID when you buy your tickets, or when you pick them up from will call if you order over the phone. Note that you’ll need to pay with cash or credit card; SNAP credit cannot be used to buy concert tickets.

Salem for All tickets are typically available for the same concerts that are eligible for student discounts; check this page frequently for an updated list. Be sure to call the Ticket Office at 503-228-1353 to verify eligibility.

 

Senior Rush

Seniors (ages 62 and over) can buy half-priced rush tickets to most Salem Classical Series concerts at the Smith Auditorium Box Office starting 90 minutes before eligible concerts.

For information about a specific concert, call the Ticket Office at 503-228-1353. Senior Rush tickets are subject to availability, and some seating restrictions may apply.
