Then arrive on campus early for a chance to learn about the program from the performers themselves.

Pre-Concert Talks

Have you ever wondered why the trumpets sometimes play offstage, or why Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring started a riot? Here’s your chance to find out!

Guests including conductors, guest artists, and musicians from the Symphony will share their insight into each program during these casual, 30-minute pre-concert talks.

  • When: 6:30 pm (one hour before every Salem Classical Series concert)
  • Where: Willamette University’s Cone Chapel, directly across the quad from Smith Auditorium
  • Free for all ticketholders!
